The current featured article is "BREAKING THE PATTERN: ALAN GARNER'S THE OWL SERVICE AND THE MABINOGION"
This paper was presented at Mythcon 24 in 1993. It was an opportunity for me to write about a lovely little book I had always enjoyed. Years later, it had the advantage of being a rare piece of scholarship on the works of Alan Garner, which led to it being selected for inclusion in THE CHILDREN'S LITERATURE REVIEW, vol. 130.
I hope you will enjoy it!

On the 16th of August, GLAWS had its annual summer party, where we just make time to hang out and have fun – and eat food, of course. The feast gathered is arranged by pot luck, so you can never … Continue reading
Once again I’ve had to settle for a single day at Comic Con. But, even for a short excursion, I enjoy the trip. Of course, for a day-trip, it meant getting up very early in the day to make the … Continue reading
I had lunch today with a very good friend. She and I haven’t gotten together in quite a long while, and I’ve missed spending time with her. So it was really nice to catch up and just enjoy each other’s … Continue reading
My current hostess is a remarkable gardener. Her back yard flourishes with greenery (a good deal of which we dine on at dinner). She also keeps a number of chickens. The Creature had been complaining about the talkative creatures he’d … Continue reading
