During the holidays I house-sat and took care of a pair of cats. They were very sociable cats. Boo was a purring machine and she turns it on as soon as she is touched. She even allowed the Creature to hitch a ride on her (briefly).
Boo liked to curl up and snooze a lot. Her housemate, Kilroy, however, was much more active. He liked a good game of Pounce at least twice a day. And toward the end of my stay, he also decided that I was a good thing to be sat upon when he wished attention (regardless of whether I was working on my computer or not). Kilroy only tolerated the Creature.
All in all, though, it was a pleasant holiday season.
